ODS’s leader, Mirek Topolanek, met with CSSD’s leader Jiri Paroubek on Sunday night. While Topolanek said that ODS will not offer program concessions that would reflect CSSD’s policy, there seems to be a good progress in the negotiations between the two parties as Paroubek said that there is a lot of issues on which the two parties can agree quickly. The two leaders said that they see willingness from both sides to cooperate. Note that the centre-right Government with 100 (ODS, Christian Democrats and the Greens) need 101 votes to win the vote of confidence. We maintain our view that we see a high chance in the centre-right Government to be formed with the support/tolerance of CSSD or a grand-coalition between ODS and CSSD is formed.
