According to Polish daily Parkiet estimates, Boryszew (chemical company) could be replaced by Lentex (fitted carpets maker) in WIG20 index. Changes in WIG20 index are prepared quarterly and the revisions prepared at end of July data are to be effective since mid-September. According to Parkiet estimates Boryszew ranks 31st, falling considerably behind Softbank (IT company), and the remaining three sessions may not allow Boryszew to overtake Softbank. At the same time, the WSE has authority not to let a company into WIG20 and Polish press and fund managers speculate that it could be the right move, as Lentex derives its high position in the ranking from high turnover only in the last three months. If Lentex indeed is omitted than Polimex-Mostostal’s shares are speculated to jump into WIG20.
