The EU Parliament yesterday approved the tobacco-products directive, but in a softened form. The warning will need to cover 65% of the package, instead of 75%. Flavored cigarettes will be banned, but at a later date, and slim cigarettes “survived.” The Guardian reported that engaged 161 people for its campaign against the directive. A study from (1 0794 CZK, 0,77%) Int. found that 2,000 jobs would be lost in the CR. / We expect just slightly NEGATIVE effect on CR shares as the company was betting on flavoured cigarettes, nevertheless their accounts only for a fraction of the production in CR so far.
