According to MF daily, if patient will pay over CZK 5,000 in prescription on drug’s additional charge during a year then insurance company will compensate any other cost over this limit. But insurance will count only with the cheaper drug on the market i.e. if doctor prescribes drug that has additional charge of CZK 88 and there is drug on the market which has fee of CZK 45 then insurance will count with CZK 45 fee even though the patient paid CZK 88. Beside that, if the reform will be approved there will be different VAT. Our view: We see it as slightly positive as patients would rather choose cheaper drugs which means higher sale for Zentiva (1 190 CZK, -1,73%) .
