Czech equities, as measured by the PX Index, were flat (0.0%) for the week to close at 1,761.9. The overall volume of trading on the PSE reached USD 645,8m, 32% below its 12M weekly average of USD 947.3m.
PMCR was the best performing stock of the week, gaining almost 2.57%, closing at an even CZK 10,000. Just behind came CEZ and (1 201 CZK, -0,83%) , which moved up over the past week by 2.12% and 1.94% respectively. (760 CZK, -1,17%) increased by 1.84% and closed at CZK 770.9. (1 429 CZK, -1,92%) was up by 0.55% over the past week compared to two weeks ago, when it was down almost 1.0%. (1 570 CZK, -1,81%) was the last member of the PX index which was up last week, increasing by 0.31% and closing at CZK 1,595. (4 197 CZK, 0,58%) has been losing for the past two weeks and last week it was off by 3.03%. Orco's stock price fell over the last week as well and closed at CZK 2,976, down 1.75%. (550 CZK, -0,88%) O2CR was the third biggest loser, which ended down by 1.6%. (1 845 CZK, -0,43%) and (293 CZK, 2,09%) closed slightly in the red at -0.54% and -0.52%.
This week, we expect the government to discuss the budget for 2008 on Wednesday and for to have its ex-dividend day on Friday.
