It was a decent volume day on the Prague Stock Exchange today but also a blood bath as the CEE currencies extended their slide against the EUR/USD. Banks got hit hard fuelled by stop-loss orders, Komercni banka and (222 CZK, -14,62%) closed around 15% down. (158 CZK, -15,17%) got hammered also on the back of CFO Leroi resignation. Only (1 128 CZK, 0,00%) managed to hold the ground as it was held up by the Sanofi's bid at CZK1,150 which is valid until Friday. CEZ was heavily traded; international sellers pushed it down to CZK618 intraday low. Bargain hunters stepped in on close and eventually lifted the market a bit higher.
