Similar to most European markets, the Prague Stock Exchange started the new week on a positive note and the PX Index managed to add 2.14%. Banking sector was doing very well today: It seemed as if the investors were making bets on (146,71 USD, 3,41%) results (to be published tomorrow) and according to today’s result, most of them are optimistic about it. After opening at CZK 2,650, Komercni banka shot up to its intra-day high at CZK 2,800. Eventually, its shares closed slightly below this level and added almost 4% today. Also (468 CZK, 2,86%) which suffered from selling pressure for most of the past week managed to strengthen by 2.75%. As far as the energy sector is concerned, both CEZ and (83,5 CZK, 2,96%) were also climbing. The first one ended the closing session above CZK 860 and the latter near CZK 84 level.
