Local HN reports that EU representative Guenter Verheugen wrote a letter to Upper Austria governor Puehringer in which he said that the anti-Temelin campaign will not be successful and that it is unsuitable for international relations. He also wrote in favor of the “Melk” process (the framework for safety assessment and international communication related to Temelin) and said that EU has no right to force Temelin closure. Good news, the stock could react.
Separately, local Pravo writes that the turbine vibrations that caused Temelin to be halted for three months seem to have been eliminated, according to tests performed so far. Also positive for the stock, although Austrian representatives claim the opposite.
MFDnes informs that US lawyer Ed Fagan - who had had threatened to take a legal action against Temelin - cannot act as a lawyer in the Czech Republic and Austria since he does not have a relevant license. His initiative has produced no real effect so far anyway.
