CEZ will speed up its transformation and should complete the separation of distribution, sales and logistics in 4Q2005. The original plan was to complete these steps over two years. We remind that the company expects the transformation cost to reach CZK 1-2bn in 2005 while savings are projected at CZK 1-2bn per year.
The Polish government will start the sale of a 40-50% stake in the Kozienice power plant (2.87 Gwh) in the next two to three weeks. The plant could be worth up to EUR 500m. Among the companies that have already expressed preliminary interest in the power plant are Vattenfall Group and CEZ. The other 50-60% stake will be partly retained by the state and partly listed.
