The Cabinet will discuss plans for selling its 51% stake in Cesky Telecom (CT) today. Note that the tender for a privatization adviser should start in January and the adviser should be selected by mid-July. The sale of the state's stake is scheduled to start this year and be finished in 2005.
Separately, the sector regulator (CTU) has cancelled the price regulation of dial-up Internet services provided by Cesky Telecom. CT may now lower its prices in attempt to increase its market share. The news should not move the stock.
