Finance minister Jiri Rusnok said that a KB tender winner could be chosen on Thursday, June 28, at an extraordinary Cabinet meeting. Next (regular) meeting is on Monday. An issue reportedly concerning bad loans that had complicated the government’s negotiations with the short-listed bidders was apparently resolved.
A prompt tender completion would be positive for KB shares as it should eliminate recent price volatility resulting form speculation surrounding the tender and investors’ bids.
