The PX-50 index rose 2.85% on Wednesday as most blue-chip stocks posted strong gains. The utility CEZ gained 4.90% to CZK 79.24, further recovering its recent losses on the back of Temelin-related news. The stock traded in a good volume of 2.17 mil. shares, and interest was apparent from both domestic as well as international investors. Cesky Telecom lost its Tuesday seller and traded down, to CZK 339.40; we expect a slowdown in volume and interest to trade. Total market volume reached USD 17.7 mil. Today, Nokia reports its quarterly figures, and although it has no direct relation to local blue chips, the figures might have an impact on trading and on the investment sentiment in Prague.
