Delay in presenting CEZ’s 2000 IAS results yesterday announced a delay in presenting its 2000 IAS results. The results should have been released by end of March but instead will be available by the end of April. The main reason for the delay is a change in IAS methodology regarding provisions for the storage of spent nuclear fuel.
Separately, Czech customs reported that Czech power exports (almost entirely dominated by CEZ) stood at 2.13 TWh in both January and February. This suggests that the strong export performance by CEZ this year might match the record highs of those reached in 2000. CEZ’s export price also remained unchanged, which means that its export revenues should also remain similar to those of 2000. The latter is fairly good news, but neither the delay in IAS results, nor the information on exports, are likely to drive the stock today.
