The PX Index strengthened for the fourth day in row and set a new all-time high level. Telefónica O2 CR, CEZ and Erste contributed to the growth the most. Telefónica O2 CR was not only the best performer on the Prague’s market, but also in comparison with other CE3 telcos. The stock reached the CZK 530 level late in the afternoon thanks to foreign buyers. CEZ continued in its recovery, which started yesterday. The CZK 945 level seemed as a resistance. Erste Bank reached its all-time high of CZK 1,703, but retreated from high levels in the afternoon amid general profit taking. Zentiva touched CZK 1,300, but declined towards the close following Hungarian pharmas. CME jumped to new record level of CZK 1,922 during the session, but closed at day low of CZK 1,869. The total traded volume was above the long-term average.
The Czech currency (CZK) significantly dropped against USD/EUR, in-line with whole CE3 region.
