CEZ has reportedly offered EUR 18mn for the Pljevnik power plant and a 31% stake in the Rudnik uglja coal mines supplying the power plant (Monte Negro). The Russian En Plus offered EUR 50m while another Russian company, Belon Group, offered EUR 8m. The offered price has a 40% weighting in the tender, investments 30% and the business plan 30%. All the bidders have reportedly offered EUR 300m to build a new block and extend the coal mines. The deadline for the bids has been set at September 30.
The installed capacity of the power plant is 210 MW or 1.7% of CEZ’s capacity, and it covers 40% of the electricity production in Monte Negro.
