The National Property Fund announced that Eléctricité de France, International Power/NRG consortium, an Enel/Iberdrola consortium, and Electrabel are on the CEZ privatization shortlist. The Pravo newspaper says that EdF is the hot favorite, though International Power/NRG consortium has competitive offer, it adds. The PBJ weekly reports that some of the unsuccessful bidders, including Swedish Vattenfall, are considering appealing to the EU, claiming the tender is unfair. Although it may come as a surprise that E.ON is not included on the short-list, the news of the shortlist is neutral.
