The deadlock at the Czech-Austrian border continues as the Cabinets have not found an agreement. The Czech cabinet seems relaxed and even suggests to the truck-drivers affected by the blockade to sue the Austrian state. How helpful!
Trade unions apparently call for a price regulation: they drew a list of "normal prices" and they want to stop imports of goods cheaper than that. The so-called Tripartite Council (government, trade union and employees representations) already agreed on it.
The Czech koruna remained almost unchanged vis-a-vis the euro at 35.40 CZK/EUR. It did depreciate against the dollar, though, from 40.50 to 41.00 CZK/USD .
Bonds reacted to higher-than-expected PPI and fell by further 20-25 bps.
