The market closed in the black numbers today. The main players were CEZ and Erste Bank. CEZ jumped over 2% thanks to electricity price convergence story. We saw heavy buying from international accounts and CEZ was the most traded stock, when it had 2/3 of today’s total turnover. Erste Bank broke CZK 1,300 level and followed positive trend of banks in Western Europe. Philip Morris became the biggest looser as the investors are afraid that new proposed excise tax could hit PM’s profit in 2007. Zentiva declined thanks to profit taking and the traded volume was quite low. Telefonica O2 CR closed flat with domestic accounts on both sides.
