According to Vladimir Tomsik of Czech National Bank, it is too early to say whether rate should increase this month already. Before that, deeper analysis of inflation pressures is necessary, said Tomsik. This is another dove voice from central bank.
• Wages in private sector in Poland increased by 8.4% y/y in April, which is slightly lower than expectations (8.6%).
• Consumers‘ confidence index of Philadeplphia Fed increased to 4.2 in May from 0.2 in April. Also, it overcame expectations for 3.0pts.
• Number of new applications for unemployment benefits in US economy decreased to 293k against estimated 310k. Data lowered expectations that Fed is going to decrease interest rates.
