Czech equities, as measured by the PX Index, remained almost unchanged (-0.1%) in the past week and closed at 822.9. The overall volume of trading on the PSE reached USD 502m, 43% below 12M average of USD 881m. There was another slow trading on PSE during past week. CEZ and Komercni banka were the most active. The star of the week was CME with 16% jump catching up performance of its US trade line. Unipetrol gained 6 % as international players were buying. Komercni banka was the second most traded stock due to interest from foreign accounts and slightly increased. The most active listing CEZ closed weekly session unchanged. PMCR and Telefonica O2 CR were the biggest laggards with 4.2% and 3.8% loss respectively. Except CNB’s decision concerning interest rates there are no major corporate catalysts planed for ongoing week. CNB should set monetary policy on Wednesday. We believe that governors will cut rates by 50bps to 2.25%.
