Unipetrol: PKN Orlen’s arbitration refusal. Adding to the previous info of December 19, PKN Orlen has refused to recognize the arbitration suit filed by Agrofert. According to PKN’s spokesman, Dawid Piekarz, PKN has given proper consideration to the privatization contract. According to Unipetrol’s spokesman Zbigniev Krzysztyniak, Unipetrol is preparing for the regular sale of the respective companies – Kaucuk, Aliachem and Lovochemie. No further information was released. Note that Agrofert is asking for EUR 77m (CZK 2.2bn) as a fee for the breaking of the original contract, which obligated PKN to sell some parts of Unipetrol’s group to Agrofert. Note that Unipetrol is on Patria’s restricted list.
