The PX-50 index added 1.10% yesterday and corrected Friday’s losses. CME closed up on an arbitrage gap with the NASDAQ close on Friday, adding over 2% despite the potential downward revision of advertising contracts should TV Nova’s viewing figures fall below 40%. CEZ gained 2% and Cesky Telecom 1.50% on healthy volumes, Cesky Telecom followed the strength of the telco sector across Eastern Europe. Erste bank continued to be under pressure, though there is no particular news behind the decline. For today we expect further market strength, with Cesky Telecom in particular apparently on its way up. The Czech market is closed tomorrow for Czech Statehood Day.
