According to Finance Minister Bohuslav Sobotka, PKN may pay up to 15% more for Unipetrol based on the higher oil price and expansion of profit margins. PKN has already paid CZK 99/share for the 63% stake. The increase of up to 15% in the acquisition price should have no impact on PKN’s buyout price of CZK 139/share for Unipetrol.
Agrofet is asking PKN for EUR 77m should PKN breach the contract to sell Agrofert certain parts of Unipetrol. PKN said that the agreement with Agrofert is disadvantageous to PKN. Note that Unipetrol is on Patria’s restricted list.
