The PX-50 soared 1.33% yesterday to a new all-time high on a massive volume of USD 174m. The best performer was again Unipetrol, closing up 15% after the company surprised the market by much better than expected 2004 results. Zentiva soared 5% on sector optimism, CEZ gained 2.8% and closed at a new all-time high driven by foreign money inflows. Cesky Telecom was an underperformer and closed down 0.4% as foreign investors continue to reduce their positions in this name. For today we expect the index to hold current levels despite negative sentiment on worldwide markets. Unipetrol might see some profit taking; Cesky Telecom is expected to be again better offered by foreign investors. CEZ, KB and Zentiva will likely benefit from continuing fresh money inflows.
