In other news, CT’s CEO, Gabriel Berdar, criticized the Czech Telecommunication Office (CTU) for regulating prices that do not cover the fixed line network costs, leading to lost proceeds of CZK 7bn (CZK 22 per share) annually. Note that CT impaired CZK 9.9bn of the part of the fixed line in 2003 as it was not able to increase its prices enough. As there is no outcome of the negotiations with CTU regarding re-balancing for 2005 so far, there is no need for further impairment at the moment. Source: Euro weekly
