The U.K.-based Rotch, unsuccessful in the recent Unipetrol privatization tender, is still seeking to participate in the privatization in cooperation with the tender winner, Agrofert. The Prague Business Journal reports that Agrofert is having problems securing the CZK 11.8 billion it offered to pay for the 63% stake in Unipetrol, its backing from Conoco appears uncertain. The news weekly quotes “sources close to Rotch and within the banking community.” Neutral at the moment.
