Industry Minister Gregr said, in a reaction to the EU’s complaint related to energy sector privatization, that he thinks the current privatization strategy is in line with EU demands. Neutral, as it was not expected that EU complaints would alter the privatization strategy.
CEZ announced that for the year 2002 it has already sold 85% of expected 2001 domestic electricity supplies and that it has also sold more than 8 TWh for 2002 exports (we expect exports to reach 12 TWh in 2001). Positive, in line with expectations.
The State Nuclear Safety Office said it is satisfied with European Commission’s assessment of Temelin NPP’s safety (among other comments, the EC said there is no basis for fears related to the Temelin NPP).
