The Czech Cabinet was informed yesterday of further negotiations with TeleDanmark/Deutsche Bank toward the sale of the government’s 51% stake in Ceske radiokomunikace, but did not take any decision (and was not expected to do so). Transport Minister J. Schling confirmed earlier reports that TD/DB’s new bid exceeds USD 300 mil., which implies some CZK 745 per share. The negotiations continue, and it seems that the Cabinet will vote on the sale next Monday. The prospect of a deal with TD/DB may help the stock in the coming days.
