The Czech koruna weakened above the 28,50 CZK/EUR level today, now the pair trades at 28,48. Domestic factors that pushed the CZK lower last week fall into the shade, but other negative factors came in. These are mainly the political problems in Hungary and Poland. The koruna then stays down as other CE currencies are pushed lower.
The CZK though firms against the US dollar. The dollar looses versus the major currencies after very weak result of Philly Fed business conditions index that came out at -0,4 in September, much lower compared to 18,5 in August. The USD/EUR now stands at 1,2820.
