According to interview for HN daily, Minister of Industry and Trade, Martin Riman doesn’t see 10% increase of electricity price in the next 3 to 6 years as his deputy Tomas Huener, however he didn’t specify explicitly his expectations. Besides he doesn’t see privatization of CEZ being the issue of the day as there is ongoing cross-European debate about the energy safety and then there is nobody who could buy CEZ if the government would like to sell it domestically. Riman touched also CEZ’s deal with MOL, which he sees advantageous, however the initial proposal which is not public was rather political and was not acceptable. Our view: We don’t see any impact of the issues mentioned on today’s trading and would see these news as neutral.
