The second coalition party, KDU, is holding a party congress today to decide whether to leave the Cabinet after Stanislav Gross was confirmed as PM at the weekend. The third coalition party, US, plans to remain in the Cabinet. The opposition party, ODS, has called a vote of non-confidence for Friday. ODS needs 101 votes to succeed while it has 57 of its own seats plus potentially 21 from KDU. Therefore, the voting of the Communist Party (with 41 votes) will be the decisive factor. Note that the leader of the Communist Party hinted that they will not support the current Cabinet. Should the Cabinet lose the vote of non-confidence, it will automatically fall.
