RadioMobil, the country’s No. 2 mobile operator 39% owned by Ceske radiokomunikace, is scheduled to today release selected IAS figures for 2001 (the company is to hold a press conference at 12 p.m. today). The figures are relatively important also for Ceske radiokomunikace, since CR’s consolidated net income (to be released later in April) includes the contribution from RadioMobil. Also, the RadioMobil stake represents the largest single component of Ceske radiokomunikace’s stock value. We expect RadioMobil to report a CZK 2.38 bil. net income (a 39% y-to-y growth) on revenues of CZK 22.0 bil. (24% y-to-y growth).
Separately, the Czech Euro weekly magazine reports today that Netla Management Limited, the minority shareholder in Ceske radiokomunikace who initiated the much talked-about April 8 EGM, is controlled by Pavel Tykac, head of the controversial Czech Motoinvest group. This had been speculated about, i.e. neutral news.
