According to the daily Parkiet citing own findings, PGE could have its new strategy approved by the supervisory board on Thursday and published on Friday. The final shape of the document, however, is yet to be determined, as the company is allegedly being pressed by the PM's chancellery to abandon investments in offshore wind farms on the Baltic Sea. PGE has already secured preliminary approvals for three wind farms. According to an individual familiar with the matter telling the daily, excluding the offshore projects from the strategy is likely to be explained by the fact that the document runs until 2020 and the farms are to be built after that date. Our view: We did not include the off-shore projects into our forecasting period, hence we see the potential cancelation of such projects as neutral.
