The PX-50 index rose again on Tuesday, up 1.66%, the gain led chiefly by CEZ and Philip Morris CR. CEZ was particularly strong, up 5.30%, as investors expect positive H1 results today from the power company. Investment upgrades from some major brokerage houses yesterday also helped the stock. Philip Morris CR rose 4.20% and tested a new high of CZK 11,500 on strong foreign demand for the stock. While investors await H1 blue-chip results, we believe the market gains of recent days will hold. Total volume in the SPAD reached USD 16.90 mil. Yesterday.
