The Czech president said he will not accept the resignation of seven Cabinet members until PM Stanislav Gross steps down, which is expected on Monday 25. On the same day the president is expected to nominate a new prime minister. We remind that on Wednesday the three coalition parties (Social Democrats, Christian Democrats and Freedom Union) agreed on the formation of a new majority Cabinet conditional to PM Stanislav Gross’s resignation. The leading Social Democrats chose the current minister for regional development, Jiri Paroubek, as the new prime minister. The new agreement still needs to be approved by CSSD’s Central Executive Committee on Saturday, April 23.
