Yesterday the Bulgarian privatization agency postponed the deadline for submitting binding bids for the 100% stakes in three power plants, Bobov Dol, Varna and Ruse, by one month to April 27. CEZ is among the 11 companies short-listed in the tender. The deadline was postponed to give investors more time to discuss the regulatory framework of the companies with the Bulgarian authorities and prepare offers. The three power plants, with a combined capacity of 1,900 megawatts, are among the largest in Bulgaria. Investors can buy all three plants and the price is the only tender criteria. The estimated value of the three plants is about EUR 250m.
