The PX 50 index gained 2.57% and closed at 391.1 points. Komercni banka, Cesky Telecom and Unipetrol were the most active stocks yesterday. The session was relatively quiet, except when a domestic buyer of some size appeared in Cesky Telecom in the afternoon, sending it up 5.43%, up with an intra-day high of CZK 360.9 (the stock closed at CZK 357). Unipetrol subsidiaries reported slightly negative H1 figures, with little market reaction. Unipetrol rose, in fact, up 4.2% to close at CZK 45.39. CEZ gained 4.2% to CZK 78.21 on low-volume trading and approached CZK 80 level, which we expect to be resistant. Total market volume was USD 12.3 bil. on Monday.
