The Czech koruna ends weaker against the euro at 28,25 CZK/EUR. Although the region has firmed thanks to Ben Bernanke´s notes on CPI expectations in the US, Czech koruna has lost due to local news. Czech January inflation came out at 1,0 % m/m, when market expected 1,6 %. This supports expectations, that the CNB won´t hike rates in the first half of the year.
Despite its loss against the euro, the CZK firms to the dollar. This is helped by fall of the USD after the Bernanke´s statement. Now, the USD/EUR trades at 1,3130.
