The Czech koruna opened a bit higher, but during the major part of today session stayed almost unchanged at 28,40 CZK/EUR and closed at 28,38. The trading was calm with no fresh data nor events. Other CE currencies trim their previous gains today, but the CZK stays stable. The key event of the next week will be the CNB monetary meeting. We expect a 25 bps rate hike with 60% probability. A hike is expected by the majority of market. No move would though be dissapointing for the CZK.
The dollar continues weakening today and trades at 1,2677 USD/EUR. Its rate against the koruna closed at 22,38 CZK/USD, so the USD have lost its previous gains from the beginning of the week.
