Czech equities, as measured by the PX Index, were off by 5.4% in the past week and closed at 1,204.8. The overall volume of trading on the PSE reached USD 1,187.6m, 17.5% above its 12M weekly average of USD 1,011.0m.
CR gained 6.3% during the past week supported by international accounts and showed the best performance on the PSE. Also Komercni banka and managed to end the weekly session stronger. accounted for the biggest loss, followed by developer and . declined on the back of the weakening RON. The most actively traded stock CEZ erased 6.6% due to selling from foreign investors.
For this week, there are no major corporate catalysts on agenda. Operator CR pays out dividends on Wednesday, October 8. A number of important macroeconomic data such as CPI, unemployment and industrial output will be released this week.
