The current account balance of payments reached a surplus of CZK
8.3bn in March after a positive balance in January and February as well. The result is slightly ahead of our expected number, thanks to the foreign trade and services balance. The current account deficit should, according to our estimates, in the 1Q07 decline to 3.7% of GDP in the 1Q07 from 4.2% of GDP last year. With the strong expansion of the economy, which is still going on at a very good pace, the movement in the current account balance is an excellent result. For the full year 2007, we expect a current account deficit of around CZK
125bn, which should be 3.5% of GDP.
