Bidders for CT were allowed to start due diligence in the company yesterday. The data rooms will remain open until March 27. Note that the Cabinet short-listed five potential bidders: three telecoms companies and two financial groups. It is not yet clear if both financial groups will be admitted into the data rooms, as under the tender conditions both have to team up with a ‘significant’ telecoms operator. The privatization committee is meeting today to specify exactly what a ‘significant’ operator is. The deadline for final bids is March 29.
