The PX-50 index gained 0.60% to 540.20 points yesterday, when the traded volume in the SPAD system reached USD 23.04 mil. Erste Bank accounted for much of the market growth, as it added over 3% to CZK 2,300. The market had speculated that Erste would win the tender for the Bulgarian DSK Bank, though it was later announced that the Hungarian OTP Bank had won. Cesky Telecom holds firm above CZK 340, with news related to the Eurotel acquisition (see below) seen as a good for the stock. CEZ gave back some of its recent gains and fell below CZK 109. While CEZ seems to be poised for a further correction, Cesky Telecom should hold, and Komercni will remain in the 2,000-2,100 range.
