The Romanian Cabinet’s decision on the tender winner(s) for the two power distributors Electrica Oltenia and Electrica Moldava is expected on Friday, December 3, according to the spokesman for the Industry and Trade Ministry. CEZ and E.On are the only two participants in the tender. We remind that CEZ and E.ON were asked to submit improved bids by November 8 and that Romania is selling a 24.62% stake in each distributor (the stake has then to be increased to 51% through a capital increase). CEZ expects acquisitions in Romania to stand at about EUR 174m or CZK 5.4bn.
