As expected the Slovak government decided to continue talks with Enel regarding the sale of power producer Slovenske elektrarne (SE) yesterday, but set three new conditions. If Enel agrees with the three conditions then Slovakia is willing to negotiate until November 11th, the spokesman for the Economy Ministry said. He gave no details as to the conditions. Note that previously, Rusko had threatened to stop negotiations with Enel and possibly start talks with CEZ (which came second in the tender) or even to cancel the tender as he was disappointed with Enel's slow progress in accepting the state's demands. Enel won the SE tender offering EUR 840m, while CEZ came second with an offer of EUR 690m.
