A government analysis says that as many as 71,000 people in the Ostrava area could lose their jobs if OKD went bankrupt, (10,5 EUR, -0,28%) left the CR and Evraz shut down. The cabinet will consider measures for preventing this, such as state support for OKD, nationalization of OKD’s Paskov mine, a lower price of electricity for the largest industrial companies and a delay in the required environmental upgrades. / We consider potential support of Czech government in planned Paskov shut-down would be helpful, although there may be some doubts of a public support prohibited by EU rules./
