The PX-50 index gave up 0.2% of its value on Friday, closing at 622.1 points. Komercni banka led the decliners on domestic selling; it fell 2.2%, trading as low as CZK 2,420 interday. On the other hand, Cesky Telecom continued to rise and topped the CZK 290 level. We think the stock’s recent gains are primarily due to the dividend payment (the gross dividend per share is CZK 57.50) due today, as some investment funds will have to reinvest the dividend back into the market. This could be a positive catalyst in coming days. Volume in SPAD trading system reached USD 18.40m on Friday.
