The headline PX-50 index rose by 1% last week, closing Friday at 540.6 points. The major gainer on the week was Ceske radiokomunikace, rising by 11% to CZK 252.5, after its majority owner announced a voluntary share buy-out offer at CZK 245 per share. Unipetrol rose 7.1% and closed Friday at CZK 55.1. Philip Morris CR rose 5.3% to CZK 13,802. The most traded stock last week was again Komercni banka, with a volume of USD 47.9 mil.; the stock gained 2.8% to CZK 2,009.
Cesky Telecom, on the other hand, lost 2.1% to CZK 276.5 on no apparent news. CEZ was down by 1.5% on the week.
The overall market volume on PSE reached USD 146.4 mil. last week, which was only 4% above the 12M weekly average of USD 141.4 mil.
