Should OMV of Austria win the INA privatization tender underway in Croatia, it would not participate in Unipetrol privatization, EuroOnLine has reported. OMV is believed to have submitted the best bid in the INA tender, closely followed by OMV of Hungary. Both companies strive to gain dominance in the region; MOL is believed to be ready to bid for the 63% Unipetrol stake together with its Slovak subsidiary, Slovnaft.
Separately, audited full-year 2002 results of Unipetrol’s main subsidiaries will be released today; unaudited sales and net profit were released a month ago (marginally positive).
