Czech market rallied by 3.66% to 467.9 points (measured by the PX-D index) on Monday on a total volume of USD 22.1 mil. Cesky Telecom rose by 8.4% to CZK 336.50 after it was announced that the company is to make a dividend decision on 2001 profit and also on retained earnings from previous years. Komercni banka and CEZ followed the market strengthening and rose by 4.5% and 3.2%, respectively. We believe that Cesky Telecom was the only title to advance with due cause yesterday, and expect the rest of the market to trade downward today. UK markets remain closed today due to a national holiday.
